I am a recent graduate from the MA Psychology program at Carleton, supervised by Dr. Guy Lacroix. My MA thesis examined the influence of intuitive response generation speed on the likelihood of rationalization versus decoupling during decision-making. Additionally, I examined whether performance on the Cognitive Reflection Test, a measure of analytic thinking, would be negatively correlated with intuitive response generation speed. In the CLaSSI lab, I am currently examining how psycholinguistic properties of names affect hiring decisions. More specifically, I have been exploring whether candidates with sonorant names are more often chosen for interpersonally warm jobs compared to voiceless stop names. In my spare time, I enjoy creative writing, going on runs, and playing on various sports teams. Additionally, I enjoy playing piano in a jazz band with a few of my friends!
