I am a second-year MA Psychology student co-supervised by Dr. Deepthi Kamawar and Dr. David Sidhu. My current research at CRDL focuses on exploring whether having extended-self conversations with four- to six-year-old children about their near-past and near-future selves influences their propensity to save in a subsequent token saving task. Moreover, I am investigating whether there is an interaction effect between future-oriented cognition and temporal cognition on saving performance. In the CLaSSI lab, my interest lies in researching sound symbolism in popular media as I am curious about how we process sounds to have meaning and how that evokes specific associations. Outside of academia, I am interested in historical fashion and learning languages. Additionally, I am a food and cooking enthusiast and spends a lot of time eating at restaurants.
